Digital Experience Manager 7.2.3.1 is a hotfix version, with a few noticeable fixes:

Anthracite theme

  • Contrasts have been improved
  • Icons are now displayed in the administration and in the site settings
  • The thumbnail views of the document manager and file picker have been improved

Core

  • It is now possible to choose the version of jQuery to use between jQuery 3.3.1 and jQuery 1.12.4, via the configuration file.
  • Configuration files can be overridden during module deployment (documentation)
  • Modules cannot be started if their business rules (Drools) fail to compile

  • Inconsistencies when using the "Work in progress" feature on multilingual sites have been fixed. A more explicit interface replaces the former checkbox when the site is available in several languages. More details are available in the "Work in progress" documentation
  • The new dashboard to ease the management of vanity URLs (creation, deletion, move, publication) is activated by default. More information is available in our documentation about Vanity URLs
  • By default for new installations (it does not apply upon migration), a drag zone is displayed at the top left of the content in order to prevent unwanted drag and drop. This setting can be modified by updating the configuration of your server.

External Data Provider

External Data Providers can now send events to DX. Find out how .

Digital Experience Manager 7.2.3.0

For Contributors

  • Straight access to the page containing the content found in the search panel of the edit mode
  • A confirmation window is now displayed when using the “Copy to all language” button in the edit engine. It prevents undesired overwriting when working on contents translated in several languages.

For Developers

Our GraphQL API now support mutations. The GraphQL documentation is available here.

For Site Administrators

A module providing a new dashboard to ease the management of vanity URLs (creation, deletion, move, publication) is now available on our store. More information is available in our documentation about Vanity URLs.

Digital Experience Manager 7.2.2.0

Digital Experience Manager 7.2.2.0 came with a brand new interface to considerably improve the editors’ experience. If you are not ready yet to switch to this new UI, you will be able to do it later by selecting the desired interface from your profile section.
Along with this new interface, DX 7.2.2.0 has some nice additions for everyone:

For Contributors

  • Faster loading times in edit mode
  • Unintentional drag and drop of contents can now be avoided, depending on the drag and drop strategy chosen by your administrator. Ask him!
  • Straight access to the page containing the content found in the search panel of the edit mode
  • Automatic refreshes of the left panel can now be deactivated by your administrator
  • Improvements have been made on the “Search and replace” module, allowing you to choose more precisely in which contents and which properties the replace action should be performed.

For Administrators

  • Several modes to define the drag and drop strategy in the edit mode, including one to prevent unintentional drag and drop of contents by the editors. This needs to be configured at your server level.
  • Several server names for a single site can now be set
  • You can deactivate the automatic refresh of the left panel in the edit mode when a publication occurs. This setting is intended for environments with lots of simultaneous contribution and publication.
  • The “Search and replace” module has been updated too and is available on the Jahia Store.

For System Administrators

System administrators now have access to a new maintenance mode, called “Full read-only mode” which prevent writing operations while sites are still available in live.

For Developers

Developers can restrict areas to node types coming from modules which are not in the dependency list of the template set.  See the "List restrictions" paragraph in the techwiki .

Developers can try our new, extendable, GraphQL API! The current version allows you to retrieve nodes (and their children) and execute queries. More information here.

Elasticsearch search provider 2.0.0

The Elasticsearch search provider modules make it possible to use the power of Elasticsearch to index and search contents in your Digital Experience Manager websites. They act as connector to an existing Elasticsearch environment, by sending the index data and search queries, and retrieving search results.

The Elasticsearch search provider module improves the relevance of the search results (compared to the default JCR search) as it includes a full-page search as opposed to a content-based search. Elasticsearch 5.6.3 is also based on a more recent version of Lucene (6.6.1) than the one embedded in the core of Digital Experience Manager.

More information are availabe in the dedicated page of these modules.
