Category Manager for site users

Question

Is it possible to manage categories for site users?

Answer

The categories, being stored under system site, are shared with all sites. So as of today, and since we do not manage categories at site level, it' weird to imagine local users being able to modify categories that are shared with all sites.

So, categories can be managed only from system users, which have permissions on the categories' node (write permissions are needed to modify the categories) and users need the permission for the Category Manager.
