What images can be uploaded in jContent?

What image types are supported by jContent? Is the AVIF format?  

Answer

Any kind of file can be imported in jContent but it will be considered as an image (the mixin jmix:image is set upon upload) only if the detected MIME type follows the regular expression image/.*.

Consequently, an AVIF file can be uploaded and you'll be able to use the image editor provided by jContent.
